The Village of Capac Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. at the Capac American Legion Hall, located at 115 N. Main St., Capac, MI 48014.

The purpose of this hearing is to consider a proposed amendment to Chapter 30 – Zoning, of the Village of Capac Code of Ordinances. We invite public comments regarding:

An Ordinance to amend Chapter 30 – Zoning to add Section 30-30, “Keeping of Chickens.” This amendment aims to permit the keeping of chickens in R-1, R-2, R-3, and RM districts, subject to the terms outlined in the ordinance.

Written comments may be submitted to the Planning Commission at 131 N. Main St., P.O. Box 218, Capac, MI 48014 prior to the hearing. Verbal comments will also be taken during the Public Hearing.
